Ramona Falls
A popular hike with a river crossing that requires tightroping across a fallen tree. The risk brings rewards, including a picturesque creek and one of the area’s most majestic waterfalls.
Wildwood Recreation Site
You wouldn't think that some of the best family hiking sits right off of Highway 26, but you'll become a believer once you step foot in the Wildwood Recreation Site. Accessible trails allow everyone to explore native flora and fauna, and a few underwater secrets that always excite our kids.
Timberline Ski Area
Timberline boasts the longest ski season in North America and now claims the most vertical feet in the United States at 4,540’. This is a place where you can have fun, meet good people, find your terrain and ride long stretches. Timberline Ski Area is a quintessential Oregon experience, and it will always be our go-to spot for a day on the slopes.
Trillium Lake
Spend a summer afternoon at Trillium Lake. The water is clear and a comfortable temp to swim (for us PNW locals that is!). And however you plan to be in the water here—whether by tube, paddle board, kayak, canoe, or raft—the views of Mt. Hood are equally striking from all angles.
McNeil Point Hike
McNeil Point was recently ranked one of Oregon’s top ten hikes. It’s well-deserved, because almost every turn on the way up offers picture-perfect highlights. Read our Guidebook to see all the wildflowers, waterfalls and panoramas we found on our way up to Ho Rock.
